[05:35:05] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[05:35:06] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[05:35:07] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> apache is nice.. if it works.. if not, it's terrible
[05:35:07] <abaumann> ---------- 1 root root 0 Jul 12 18:28 /var/lib/pacman/db.lck
[05:35:32] <abaumann> mysql runs sort of amok on the buildmaster, no wonder, it's a new version :->
[05:47:17] <abaumann> I see:
[05:47:19] <abaumann> >> mysql: Deprecated program name. It will be removed in a future release, use '/usr/bin/mariadb' instead
[05:47:23] <abaumann> ok, just a warning.
[05:47:27] <abaumann> >> ERROR 1205 (HY000) at line 3: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction
[05:47:35] <abaumann> this looks like the database is stuck on locks
[05:58:47] <abaumann> aha. so some slaves reported now their failures back to the buildmaster and are building new stuff.
[06:16:37] <abaumann> mmh. nothing really new builds and on build-tasossah-X the same packages build and build and end in a failure
[06:19:30] <abaumann> must go now, let's see if something builds..

[12:55:09] <KitsuWhooa> Yeah...
[12:55:47] <KitsuWhooa> Didn't take long to break again
[12:55:49] <KitsuWhooa> * buildmaster failed to execute a mysql query - can you have a look at "tmp.mysql-functions.query.2023-07-13T08:15:05.RskwwA.stdin"?.
[14:37:41] <KitsuWhooa> PSA: My builders are gone
[14:37:54] <KitsuWhooa> until I get back home to reboot my computer, which might be weeks from now
[14:38:22] <KitsuWhooa> I made the stupid mistake of rebooting to recover from an amdgpu issue, without realising it'd never shut down, and now I've lost ssh access and the VMs are presumably dead as well
[18:21:25] <girls> KitsuWhooa: When this happened to me, I hooked up an Raspi + Optocoupler to the power- and reset buttons of all my headless machines. Now I can hard (or soft) power them any time I like :D
[18:27:35] <KitsuWhooa> I mean, it rarely happens
[18:27:57] <KitsuWhooa> my mistake was doing sudo reboot instead of echo b | sudo tee /proc/sysrq-trigger
[18:28:33] <girls> it did not happen that often to me either
[18:29:29] <KitsuWhooa> fair
[18:29:43] <KitsuWhooa> my only hope is a long enough power outage to run the ups out
[18:29:54] <KitsuWhooa> then the computer will power back on, on its own
[18:29:57] <girls> is it beeping constantly, now?
[18:30:06] <KitsuWhooa> I am not home, so I have no idea what is going on
[18:30:19] <girls> yeah, that's, why I'm asking
[18:30:20] <KitsuWhooa> but if power goes out long enough, it will force my computer to restart
[18:30:31] <KitsuWhooa> for all I know, watercooling failed and my gpu crashed :p
[18:31:19] <girls> I long lived without management access, but since I got an old hp with management console, I learned to love it.
[18:32:12] <KitsuWhooa> I have an atmega328 and a microchip ethernet controller that can talk to it
[18:32:18] <KitsuWhooa> maybe if I have enough energy at some point I can hook those up
