[10:27:57] <brtln> sorry, I forgot about it
[10:28:01] <brtln> I will do it tomorrow
[10:28:10] <brtln> where can I get the PKGBUILD?
[12:21:31] <deep42thought> np, it's in https://github.com

[21:17:03] <tyzoid> deep42thought: Unfortunately not
[21:17:18] <deep42thought> no time or no luck?
[21:17:20] <tyzoid> The server reports not actually going offline
[21:17:26] <tyzoid> still says 84 days of uptime
[21:17:29] <deep42thought> wuah
[21:17:31] <tyzoid> so I suspect an upstream network issue
[21:18:23] <deep42thought> is this a virtual or a physical server?
[21:18:36] <tyzoid> when I have some time, I'm going to set up a mysql replication to a slave server and make a read-only version when the primary goes offline
[21:18:41] <tyzoid> It's a virtual server
[21:19:09] <deep42thought> ok, so it might also be, that the underlying one just froze yours?
[21:19:18] <deep42thought> but the network issue seems more reasonable :-)
[21:19:40] <deep42thought> I'm not really sure, that a replication is necessary
[21:19:59] <tyzoid> I'm saying for the forum/news page
[21:20:04] <deep42thought> a day without forum should be ok - if we have backups, there is nothing to worry about ;-)
[21:20:19] <deep42thought> hmm, maybe the news

[21:31:15] <tyzoid> it pulls right from the forum's database
[21:31:18] <deep42thought> hmm, ok
[21:38:32] -!- alexandre9099 has joined #archlinux-ports
[21:39:18] <alexandre9099> hi, i have a *old* computer (2003) and i want to use the serial port in it to connect to a router, but i don't have any screen/monitor availible to use, how can i enable ssh on boot before booting?
[21:40:23] <deep42thought> you need a symlink in /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants
[21:40:37] <deep42thought> which points to /usr/lib/systemd/system/sshd.service
[21:41:03] <alexandre9099> how can i do that? is it possible to mount and modify the image?
[21:41:17] <deep42thought> which image? The iso?
[21:41:24] <alexandre9099> yes
[21:41:42] <deep42thought> easiest way should be to build it yourself (it's not that hard)
[21:41:50] <deep42thought> I'm not sure about mounting and modifying
[21:41:54] <deep42thought> but it might work, too
[21:42:04] <alexandre9099> i can't do it from a 64bit pc, can i?
[21:42:10] <deep42thought> you can
[21:42:32] <deep42thought> actually, you must do it (I'm not sure why, but there is a check, that the script is only run from x86_64)
[21:42:36] <alexandre9099> well, i can't be on the might "work side", i only have 5GB to use till day 23 :D
[21:42:47] <alexandre9099> XD
[21:43:59] <alexandre9099> i really love arch, but i'll try to find some even smaller image :(
[21:44:19] <deep42thought> well, the image is huge, but you can install a small system
[21:44:44] <deep42thought> if you're creating an iso anyway, you can kick out stuff you don't need during installation
[21:44:57] <rewbycraft> building your own iso is probably easiest.
[21:45:11] <alexandre9099> yep, the problem is the packages that need to be downloaded, i need to download the image itself and then download on the install process, unless there is some offline install thing
[21:45:40] <rewbycraft> Technically you could setup some form of proxy server on your desktop or something...
[21:45:45] <rewbycraft> But that seems overly complicated
[21:46:09] <rewbycraft> That said, I'm questioning your low internet cap
[21:47:42] <deep42thought> well, some people have to pay per (kilo/mega/giga) byte
[21:48:55] <alexandre9099> well, basicly, my isp decided to have a bug on the software, i have 100GB montly the renews on day 23, but i was trusting the isp website that saied that the data cap would renew "today" so i "wasted" the remaining data downloading games and stuff, next day i got a message saying that if i wanted to continue using internet i had to pay 10 euros for 10GB...
[21:49:37] <alexandre9099> the stupid thing is that i'm using a plan that is suposed to be an alternative to fiber, it works on 4G, fiber has no limits, 4G is worse and has 100GB limit
[21:50:21] <deep42thought> the advantage of 4G is the availabilty (at least here in germany)
[21:50:48] <alexandre9099> in portugal not so much, but it was way worse a few years ago :D
[21:53:32] <rewbycraft> Oh yeah. Some countries are backwards and cap home internet
[21:54:05] <nekomancer> *cough*USA*cough*
[21:54:59] <alexandre9099> the stupid thing is that a few months ago there was no limit, but when they started limiting there started to be some offers like "we give you 30GB if you buy a phone"
[22:45:49] -!- deep42thought has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
[22:53:14] <tyzoid> In some countries, the cap is quite low
[22:53:23] <tyzoid> *cough*USA*cough(
[22:53:37] <tyzoid> since most telecom providers are basically monopolies

[23:17:32] <WarheadsSE> Technically my home cap is 1TB .. but I rarely do over 600G
