[04:16:33] * WarheadsSE obligatory "I work for GitLab, and you should use that" comment
[04:29:08] <tyzoid> WarheadsSE: you work for gitlab?
[04:33:01] <WarheadsSE> https://about.gitlab.com
[04:33:03] <phrik> Title: Team | GitLab (at about.gitlab.com)
[04:38:25] <tyzoid> That's pretty sweet
[05:03:05] <{levi}> Bah, my 'secure' (not encrypted, physically secure) keyring seems to have corrupted itself. I can see the data on there via xxd, but the system can't mount it, and fsck can't fix it :(
[05:07:54] <{levi}> Oh well, I'll see what I can do with it tomorrow
[05:08:02] -!- {levi} has quit [Quit: Leaving]
[07:42:12] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux-ports
[07:47:36] <deep42thought> tyzoid: There is no need to sign the master key, it simply needs to be entered in the keyring package.
[07:59:04] <deep42thought> ok, I'd say, we add master keys for tyzoid and rewbycraft - any objections?
[07:59:15] <deep42thought> I'd wait until tomorrow evening for reactions.

[13:15:58] <tyzoid> deep42thought: finally a forum post that's not spam :P
[13:16:17] <tyzoid> deep42thought: Regardless, the key I sent you is intended to be my new personal master key
[13:16:30] <tyzoid> I can create a subkey for archlinux32 master.
[13:16:44] <tyzoid> that's why I wanted you to sign the new master ke
[13:16:46] <tyzoid> key*
[13:28:29] <tyzoid> deep42thought: Proposed master key D92CDDC155BCC8F550B5FCEC30AB721FE7400FCD
[14:08:33] <rewbycraft> deep42thought: I've not got any objections.
[15:13:02] <deep42thought> rewbycraft: ok, but I was actually asking everyone (else) ;-)
[15:23:18] <deep42thought> abaumann: Did you open FS32#6 when libreoffice-still was in community-testing?
[15:27:23] <deep42thought> if so, then my bugtracking on the build master does not work :-/
[15:31:28] <abaumann> deep42thought: yes, I did.
[15:32:12] <abaumann> mmh. or actually.. cannot guarantee it.
[15:32:48] <deep42thought> I'll recheck the script ...
[15:38:36] <deep42thought> according to the extra.db.tar.gz, it was moved on 17-11-06 14:09 (probably UTC+1 or UTC+2)
[15:38:41] <deep42thought> so it's fine on my end :-)
[15:44:44] <abaumann> I think, this Java bug in libreoffice is there for a while, not since the last build.
[15:46:27] -!- isacdaavid has quit [Ping timeout: 250 seconds]
[15:52:48] <deep42thought> ok, so the next java-still package will get stuck in testing :-)
[15:53:11] <abaumann> good test.
[15:57:22] <rewbycraft> deep42thought: I was commenting on the part not involving me
[15:57:38] <deep42thought> ah, ok - there you have one vote, too
[15:57:40] <deep42thought> I forgot :-)

[16:39:01] -!- gage has joined #archlinux-ports
[16:40:16] <gage> Good morning. I'm using archlinux32 and having a real tough time getting the gma500 graphics to work right. Is there anyone around that could help me?
[16:41:03] <jelle> gage: as in X not starting?
[16:41:22] <deep42thought> or does it look like that: https://bbs.archlinux32.org
[16:41:24] <phrik> Title: [SOLVED] Graphics corruption after kernel update / Kernel & Hardware / Arch Linux 32 Forums (at bbs.archlinux32.org)
[16:42:00] <gage> No x starts just fine it just won't play videos at even 1 fps. Audio comes out in too-fast spurts too
[16:43:52] <gage> No strange artifacting like that that I've seen. I read somewhere that the gma500 module depends on the fbdev module somehow, could that be the problem?
[16:45:52] <jelle> gage: what is your problem?
[16:46:02] <jelle> ohh that's the issue ;p
[16:46:43] <gage> hahaha <pretending to get it
[16:55:30] <gage> So is that the issue then? I've already installed fbdev with pcman but it didn't change anything and I can't find any further instructions.
[16:56:58] <jelle> gage: wait, why aren't you using xf86-video-intel?
[16:57:41] <gage> Honestly this is what the installer gave me by default. I haven't even figured out how to change the video driver at all.
[16:58:14] <jelle> the installer?
[16:58:23] <jelle> !give gage aw intel
[16:58:24] <phrik> gage: Intel - https://wiki.archlinux.org
[17:00:29] <gage> Awesome thanks I'm trying that now
[17:02:39] -!- gage has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[17:05:13] <tyz> :)
[17:09:09] -!- gage has joined #archlinux-ports
[17:11:28] <gage> When I pointed my xorg at the intel driver it failed to start x. It was just in this infinite loop of trying to start lxdm. I had to delete the xorg.conf rule from another tty, and it kept reverting to the broken tty every few seconds haha
[17:12:58] <gage> On the gma500 page on the archwiki it says that the regular intel driver doesn't work on account of gma500 being a totally different chip than the usual intel chips or something like that.
[17:21:20] <WarheadsSE> AL32 folks: can you explain how your git repo is supposed to work? Looking at making necessary changes for AS. While the layout is similar to the way that ALARM works, it looks like you're just patching the upstream AL instead of overlaying the entire file with modifications?
[17:22:02] -!- abaumann has quit [Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.92 [SeaMonkey 2.48/20171029041124]]
[17:22:10] <deep42thought> that's right
[17:22:21] <deep42thought> the content of PKGBUILD is appended to the original PKGBUILD
[17:22:26] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux-ports
[17:22:28] <deep42thought> the content of other files is overridden
[17:22:38] <deep42thought> (they may be created if they didn't exist yet)
[17:22:38] <WarheadsSE> How does that workflow behave? It looks like it is going to be a PITA modification to get PlugBuild to use them
[17:23:02] <deep42thought> we're not using plugbuild
[17:23:09] <WarheadsSE> I know that :P but AS does
[17:23:36] <deep42thought> oh
[17:24:18] <deep42thought> well you basically need to concatenate two files before working with them ...
[17:24:54] <WarheadsSE> Yeah, that'll be cute ;)
[17:25:28] <WarheadsSE> Doesn't look like you're modifying the arch[] though, so I am not horribly concerned.
[17:25:41] <WarheadsSE> AS is a layer over the top, so perhaps we don't have to worry about that too much.
[17:26:09] <deep42thought> the arch is added by the same function which concatenates the PKGBUILDs
[17:26:29] <deep42thought> but it's not in git, because it's for every arch specific package ...
[17:28:20] <WarheadsSE> Ah..
[17:30:02] <deep42thought> https://github.com and https://github.com
[17:30:03] <phrik> Title: builder/common-functions at master · archlinux32/builder · GitHub (at github.com)
[17:38:30] <WarheadsSE> mm, that would complicate things.
[17:46:01] <deep42thought> what is it actually, that archstrike does?
[17:46:12] <deep42thought> and what is it, that it requires?
[17:46:22] -!- gage has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[17:46:35] <WarheadsSE> They're a security-related repo layer
[17:46:51] <WarheadsSE> pentesting / etc
[17:49:05] <WarheadsSE> So they don't work quite the same was as ALARM or AL32.
[17:50:23] <WarheadsSE> ALARM does full overlays, as we often have to change a lot, so "if in our git, our git wins" basically. AL32 does "append/patch if exists". AS is a layer that generally has no collision.

[18:10:44] <deep42thought> sry, wrong acronym
[18:10:59] <tyzoid> lol
[18:11:13] <deep42thought> e.g. "appending" equals "replacing" equals "new file w/o collision"
[18:11:47] <deep42thought> tyzoid: I'm not used to all these abbreviations - each time someone posts IHWWSSIUA, I need to look it up via google
[18:11:57] <deep42thought> but this does not work the other way round :-/
[18:12:29] <tyzoid> IHWWSSIUA?
[18:12:52] <deep42thought> I hate whole worded sentences, so i use abbreviations
