[06:09:22] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[06:09:22] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[06:09:22] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> my cluster of 1k 4/86's will be happy to iterate Maxwell-Vlasov-equations :-D
[06:10:03] <deep42thought> tyzoid: In case you're still on: there were issues with mariadb on your server. packages.archlinux32.org is now obsolete and served from archlinux32.org (polichronucci's server)
[06:15:43] <bill-auger> the banner CSS on the web front page is broken
[06:16:10] <bill-auger> s/banner/navbar/
[06:16:31] <deep42thought> oh
[06:17:29] <deep42thought> works for me
[06:17:34] <deep42thought> what is broken for you?
[06:26:10] <bill-auger> the CSS - it makes the nav links vertical rather than horizontal likre the other pages
[06:26:46] <bill-auger> hm no maybe it was not the main page
[06:27:57] <deep42thought> when you find it, just drop me a note and I'll look into it
[06:28:40] <bill-auger> i cant find it now - maybe an intermittent thing
[06:28:53] <bill-auger> ive seen it only twice this week
[08:06:37] <deep42thought> memcached has 667 open ports
[08:06:51] <deep42thought> probably _that_'s, why it does not accept any new connections ...
[08:11:33] <buildmaster> i686/flashplugin is broken (says rechenknecht).

[08:35:55] <deep42thought> the website now no longer fails on failing memcached
[08:36:11] <deep42thought> however, I feel, we should really solve this issue somehow :-/

[10:46:50] <bill-auger> any ETA on when the new libidn2 will come out of staging ?

[11:49:11] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[11:49:11] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[11:49:13] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> *mimimi* tyzoid *mimimimi*
[11:49:24] <deep42thought> bill-auger: there are still some dependency issues with systemd
[11:49:36] <deep42thought> which requires manual intervention
[11:49:44] <deep42thought> so it's mostly "when we have some time" ;-)
[12:00:34] <bill-auger> ok theres no ruch - the problem is that we rebuild systemd, so because of the libidn2 soname change, we cant let that new libidn2 into the repos before we can put the rebuilt systemd beside it - nor vice-versa - we will need very good timing or there will be broken systems
[12:01:44] <deep42thought> yeah, similar here: the newly built systemd somehow (claims to) depend(s) on the old libidn2 - so it is not being moved
[12:03:33] <bill-auger> that sounds like what i saw too - i rebuilt it against the libidn2 in staging and the soname it wanted had a 4 in it
[12:05:12] <bill-auger> thats after i added the explicit depends='libidn2.so'
[12:06:08] <bill-auger> AHA - but the makedepend was still on 'linidn2' - that was probably my problem
[12:07:34] <bill-auger> unable to satisfy dependency 'libidn2.so=4-32' required by systemd-common
[12:09:12] <deep42thought> we have a libidn2-shim in [build-support] with the right libs and provides
[12:15:39] <bill-auger> ok i did not enable that - nice project for tomorrow
[12:32:52] <deep42thought> just great: the newly built systemd _really_links_ against libidn2.so.4 from the shim-package
[12:58:01] <buildmaster> i686/systemd is broken (says rechenknecht).
[12:58:10] <deep42thought> what a surprise

[17:07:08] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[17:07:08] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[17:07:08] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> canary no. 2 is back on testing. :-)
[17:07:14] <deep42thought> hi abaumann
[17:07:35] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[17:07:51] <abaumann> tyzoid: thanks, I had a pypy running amok on the machine. :-)
[17:08:20] <deep42thought> abaumann: I switched from memcache to apcu - let's see if that solves the problem :-)
[17:08:26] <abaumann> seems, disabling the tests is not enough. Now it does some strange stuff during building and intsalling.
[17:08:33] <abaumann> ah. yeah.
[17:08:43] <abaumann> so, every click opened a new memcached connection?
[17:08:58] <abaumann> this could also be a bug in the client library..
[17:09:05] <deep42thought> yes
[17:09:28] <deep42thought> and more importantly: didn't close the connection, it seemed
[17:10:08] <deep42thought> there were some reports open about that but I thought, it's not worth the effort for storing two (in numbers: 2) booleans
[17:10:20] <deep42thought> ah, no, we store more, sry
[17:10:45] <deep42thought> also the list of packages available on upstream archlinux is stored in memcached
[17:13:05] <abaumann> brilliant; warning: cannot resolve "libsasl=2.1.26", a dependency of "cyrus-sasl"
[17:13:11] <abaumann> also on arm on my mailserver
[17:13:19] <deep42thought> oh, we're not alone!
[17:14:13] <abaumann> yeah.
[17:16:37] <abaumann> auth_pam: pam_authenticate failed: Authentication failure
[17:16:39] <abaumann> sigh
[17:16:46] <deep42thought> I know this one!
[17:16:54] <abaumann> ah? :-)
[17:17:01] <deep42thought> gimme a sec ...
[17:17:06] <abaumann> cool :-)
[17:17:24] <deep42thought> !bug 61715
[17:17:25] <phrik> https://bugs.archlinux.org
[17:17:30] <deep42thought> is related
[17:17:43] <deep42thought> s/is/might be/
[17:17:50] <deep42thought> !bug 61704
[17:17:50] <phrik> https://bugs.archlinux.org
[17:18:22] <deep42thought> my filesystem is broken :-(
[17:18:22] <deep42thought> %MEM %CPU ELAPSED CMD
[17:18:22] <deep42thought> 84.7 0.8 6-21:10:50 e2fsck -f -y /dev/md3
[17:18:30] <abaumann> oi.
[17:18:40] <abaumann> you have enough memory?
[17:18:46] <deep42thought> 16G + 16G swap
[17:19:09] <abaumann> mmh. well. then you need a petabyte of storage to hit the limits of fsck :)
[17:19:16] <deep42thought> 24TB
[17:19:22] <deep42thought> ... and it's broken ...
[17:19:35] <abaumann> I have 4 TB and 1 GB RAM, and this doesn't work.
[17:19:50] <abaumann> so I have to use temporary files on another disk to check the main disk..
[17:20:11] <deep42thought> yeah, that's also what I saw: pure 16GB ram was not enough
[17:20:20] <deep42thought> so I created a 16GB swap file on a different disk
[17:20:45] <deep42thought> It's quite frightening to see e2fsck eat all memory
[17:21:13] <deep42thought> btw: what do you think of the new front page?
[17:21:20] <abaumann> new fron page?
[17:21:26] <deep42thought> archlinux32.org
[17:21:33] <deep42thought> phrik!
[17:21:39] <deep42thought> https://archlinux32.org
[17:21:42] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 (at archlinux32.org)
[17:22:24] <abaumann> looks very similar to upstream :-)
[17:22:33] <abaumann> ah. hang on.
[17:22:33] <deep42thought> copy'n'pasted
[17:22:36] <abaumann> bad firefox completion
[17:22:46] <abaumann> Recent Updates
[17:22:48] <abaumann> sweet.
[17:22:56] <abaumann> looks very good :-)
[17:23:03] <deep42thought> I'm not sure if and how we want to implement the missing feeds: iso-releases, deleted packages, added packages
[17:23:32] <deep42thought> also the todo-list is only my personal todo-list of the build scripts, heh :-D
[17:23:49] <abaumann> the news, the recent updates are the important once, I think, and the general information and mission statement.
[17:24:07] <abaumann> especially the rss feeds are very handy
[17:26:52] <abaumann> saslauthd[894] :auth failure: [user=abaumann] [service=pop] [realm=] [mech=pam] [reason=PAM auth error]
[17:27:01] <abaumann> yeah. sasl tells me a lot here. now to PAM debuging
[17:27:11] <deep42thought> which pam unit does it use?
[17:27:21] <deep42thought> maybe you can/must simply add that one?
[17:27:45] <abaumann> good question
[17:29:13] <deep42thought> http://www.postfix.org
[17:29:14] <phrik> Title: Postfix SASL Howto (at www.postfix.org)
[17:29:24] <abaumann> postfix fails too, uses smtpd
[17:29:35] <abaumann> something seems fundamentally borked here
[17:29:38] <deep42thought> yup, that's stated on that page
[17:29:43] <deep42thought> no
[17:29:47] <deep42thought> just the default changed
[17:30:00] <deep42thought> so everyone who didn't install the pam module now fails
[17:30:06] <abaumann> xlock, that's the password check when logging in again..
[17:30:10] <deep42thought> yes
[17:30:14] <deep42thought> that was failing for me
[17:30:19] <deep42thought> which also uses pam
[17:30:25] <deep42thought> and didn't install the pam module
[17:30:31] <abaumann> ah.
[17:30:34] <deep42thought> and I guess other services do the same
[17:30:48] <abaumann> I would bet systemd is now also generating pam configuration on the fly
[17:30:52] <deep42thought> you really only need to create the one-liner file in my bug report with the correct name
[17:31:02] <deep42thought> !grab abaumann
[17:31:03] <phrik> deep42thought: Bazinga!
[17:31:10] <deep42thought> would be worth a feature request :-)
[17:31:30] <abaumann> yeah, but smtpd is correctly configured and the smtpd file exists in /etc/pam.d
[17:31:36] <abaumann> that's what is a little bit puzzling..
[17:31:48] <deep42thought> otoh /etc/pam.d/ is already a directory and manageable by a package manager
[17:31:55] <deep42thought> yeah, then it's strange
[17:32:00] <deep42thought> your move ;-)
[17:35:45] <abaumann> Feb 13 17:35:41 euroweb mysqld[369]: 2019-02-13 17:35:41 22 [Warning] InnoDB: Table mysql/innodb_table_stats has length mismatch in the column name table_name. Please run mysql_upgrade
[17:35:49] <abaumann> yeah. that too now.
[17:36:00] <abaumann> ok. I did a very optimistic late-evening update.. ;-)
[17:36:56] <deep42thought> :-D
[17:37:16] <abaumann> ok. I downgraded pambase, pam, libsasl and cyrus-sasl
[17:37:33] <abaumann> I don't have the time for this. And it's completly broken upstream and/or on ARM
[17:40:41] <abaumann> it's a productive system, so.. :-_
