[00:03:25] <{levi}> Seems nobody's mentioned yet that the website is down. I wanted to report that libreoffice has been rebuild on Thursday, and we don't need any workarounds any more.

[10:28:28] <deep42thought> tyzoid: the bugtracker seems down (and your znc server) ...
[10:57:33] -!- infides has joined #archlinux32
[11:42:50] <deep42thought> abaumann: build scripts building with old versions seems unprobable - they're all run with `set -e`
[11:44:56] <deep42thought> and the slaves cannot build with old versions anyways, as the scripts use `git archive $revision` with an explicite revision hash set (told by the buildmaster)
[11:45:21] <deep42thought> so the worst that could happen is, that the HEADs of community, packages and packages32 get out-of-sync on the buildmaster itself
[11:45:52] <deep42thought> which should not pose big problems IMHO (e.g. only something like "commited patch did not arrive yet")

[16:15:56] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[16:15:57] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> canary no. 2 is back on testing. :-)
[16:16:58] <abaumann> deep42thought: pool/binutils-2.32-2.238-i486.pkg.tar.xz, we try a new record here in number of rebuilds? ;-)
[16:17:25] <abaumann> otherwise the almost complete rebuild runs nicely, already down on 2291 packages to-build

[17:07:58] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> I sometimes wonder anyway: so many Linux distros and all they to is copy build descriptions from each other :-)
[17:08:15] <abaumann> deep42thought: another thing, I think blacklisting is not working, I see nvidia-utils in the failed build list

[17:31:33] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[17:31:34] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> it's modern software in the end.. it _has_ to compile that long in order to get good.. ;-)
[17:31:43] <abaumann> ./get-package-updates -w: can't find git repository with package repository 'build-support'
[17:31:46] <abaumann> huh?
[17:32:43] <abaumann> so checking in something into the build-support _and_ into somewhere confused get-package-updates, so I will not do it again. :-)

[18:24:52] <deep42thought> abaumann: oh, right, the toolchain - sry, forgot to look at this today - will do it later this evening
[18:25:35] <deep42thought> also blacklistin is on my todo for this evening
[18:25:56] <deep42thought> I'll defer the build-support thing (which breaks by expectation) to later ...

[18:29:15] <deep42thought> Hi abaumann!
[18:29:18] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[18:29:25] <buildmaster> i686/yabause-qt is broken (says eurobuild6-1): https://archlinux32.org
[18:29:28] * abaumann finally fixed his butlbee running amok
[18:29:50] <abaumann> btw: I installed a "backdoor buildmaster" http://buildmaster.archlinux32.org
[18:29:50] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, pentium4, any) (at buildmaster.archlinux32.org)
[18:29:55] <deep42thought> some things are simply made to break - even ii (the buildmaster) disconnects without reason
[18:30:30] <deep42thought> what's "backdoor" about this buildmaster?
[18:30:40] <abaumann> it's not the official one. :-)
[18:30:48] <abaumann> only if the other one is down.
[18:30:59] * deep42thought doesn't understand
[18:31:21] <abaumann> there where nginx hickups on https://archlinux32.org
[18:31:23] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, pentium4, any) (at archlinux32.org)
[18:31:34] <abaumann> I need some buildmaster data _urgently_
[18:31:48] <deep42thought> which host does this run on?
[18:32:07] <abaumann> the buildmaster :-)
[18:32:16] <deep42thought> :-)
[18:32:31] <abaumann> I can add some IP restriction?
[18:32:36] <deep42thought> don't kill it (with calculating build list stuff)
[18:32:55] * abaumann shivers at the thought of DOSAs
[18:32:56] <deep42thought> add it under a different sub domain?
[18:33:03] <abaumann> good idea.
[18:33:18] <abaumann> allows also uncluttering /srv/http a little
[18:33:19] <abaumann> bit
[18:33:31] <deep42thought> how so?

[20:10:03] <deep42thought> gcc on i486 got onto the deletion-list
[20:10:13] <deep42thought> this breaks the toolchain logic :-(
[20:20:30] <buildmaster> i686/baloo is broken (says nlopc46): https://archlinux32.org
[20:27:50] -!- infides_ has joined #archlinux32
[20:28:24] <abaumann> gcc is on the deletion list? huh?
[20:28:28] <deep42thought> was
[20:28:31] <abaumann> ah :-)
[20:28:49] <deep42thought> but I have no idea (yet) how it entered that list
[20:28:50] -!- DepositePirate has joined #archlinux32
[20:28:58] <abaumann> speaking of gcc, ah. gcc8 was also recently built.
[20:29:04] <abaumann> though it's only there for cuda..
[20:29:10] <abaumann> ..ah which is blacklisted.
[20:29:20] <deep42thought> well, can't hurt
[20:29:25] <deep42thought> ... if it builds :-)
[20:30:16] <abaumann> mmh. it's on the build list now.
[20:30:23] <deep42thought> I put it there
[20:30:26] <abaumann> ah :-)
[20:30:40] <deep42thought> there was a wrong assumption in the toolchain logic
[20:30:49] -!- infides has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
[20:31:00] <deep42thought> a build assignment without built binary_packages was assumed to be on the buildlist
[20:31:11] <deep42thought> but can also be on the deletion list (makes no sense, but it can be)
[20:31:39] <abaumann> that was also causing those insanities? buildmaster-wise, I mean..
[20:31:44] <deep42thought> thus binutils was built, returned, but not removed from the build-list, because gcc was not built and was expected to be built next (and then binutils again)
[20:31:55] <deep42thought> I don't think so
[20:32:11] <deep42thought> I think, the insanities (build- and deletion-list) were something else
[20:32:14] <abaumann> ok, but then I can kick off the i486 slaves again..
[20:32:18] <deep42thought> which packages were on both lists?
[20:32:41] <abaumann> I had the impression of recently scheduled ones, when something else was happening in parallel.
[20:32:55] <abaumann> for instance: I rescheduled firefox and thunderbird after a rust -> rust-bin move
[20:35:09] <deep42thought> so seed-build-list might be the bad guy
[20:35:40] <deep42thought> the problem currently is, that all the scheduling and blacklisting logic is duplicated between get-package-updates and seed-build-list
[20:38:58] -!- infides has joined #archlinux32
[20:39:39] <abaumann> "Preload failed: checksum of class list was incorrect."
[20:39:43] <abaumann> yeah. that's informative..
[20:41:21] <buildmaster> pentium4/baloo is broken (says buildknecht2): https://archlinux32.org
[20:41:25] <abaumann> jippie
[20:41:27] <abaumann> finally.
[20:41:34] <abaumann> I hate baloo :->
[20:41:43] -!- infides_ has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
[20:42:14] <abaumann> when one process eats up all resources of my machine, then it's baloo doing some fulltext indexing..
[20:42:36] <deep42thought> indexing services are the best for eating up all resources
[20:42:36] * abaumann works in the search/information technology field (disclaimer)
[20:42:49] <abaumann> it not done careful, yes.
[20:43:06] * abaumann remembers the M$ Indexing services - shudder..
[20:43:47] <deep42thought> I killed the linux indexer a few times already, because it blocked me (I think its name was db_update)
[20:44:36] <abaumann> Also makewhatis has some runtime behaviour on older machines..
[20:45:35] <deep42thought> one thing, that is definitely broken: if "i486 $package" is blacklisted and $package gets rescheduled (for whatever reason), it will not be put on the deletion-list on i486, currently
[20:45:56] <deep42thought> because scheduling is for *all* architectures
[20:46:18] <abaumann> yeah.
[20:46:45] -!- infides_ has joined #archlinux32
