[19:57:53] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[19:57:53] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[19:57:54] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> naa.. not testing never has bad consequences.. ;-)
[19:58:24] <abaumann> deep42thought: mmh. "Recent Updates" on https://archlinux32.org shows which packages have been published to testing? Is that the correct thing to do?
[19:58:27] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 (at archlinux32.org)
[19:59:06] <abaumann> IMHO it makes more sense to show people, what they can actually install without having to add test repos..
[20:03:31] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[20:03:31] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[20:03:31] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[20:03:32] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> it was too slow - they don't offer that speed anymore, so they rounded down to 0
[20:03:38] <deep42thought> abaumann: it's what upstream does ,too
[20:04:29] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[20:04:33] <deep42thought> Hi abaumann!
[20:04:35] <abaumann> ah? ok then.
[20:04:52] <girls> yup
[20:05:17] <deep42thought> and currently, we have the same amount of testing packages in the "newsticker" like upstream ;-)
[20:05:44] <abaumann> yeah. I even had a chromium running today on Gnome on pentium4
[20:05:52] <abaumann> things start to look a little bit better.
[20:06:02] <deep42thought> :-)
[20:06:06] <abaumann> but on i686 things start to break more and more.. as anticipated. :-)
[20:07:16] <deep42thought> what are the things being pushed over the cliff on i686 in the near future?
[20:07:32] <deep42thought> gtk, gnome, firebird and thunderfox?
[20:07:48] <deep42thought> rust?
[20:08:05] <abaumann> rust is still stuck in this funny N2048 whatever patching disaster.
[20:08:14] <abaumann> with that mozilla stuff is gone
[20:08:14] <deep42thought> so in terms of available packages, i686 converges to i486 (instead of the reverse)
[20:08:38] <abaumann> librsvg2 is the biggest problems, as it now contains SSE2 code on i686 and creates SIGILLs
[20:08:56] <abaumann> chromium has issues around SSE math, but it seems it can be forced to build on i686
[20:09:09] <abaumann> just the build system with gn and ninja is wacko
[20:10:26] <deep42thought> so the sed magic didn't work for rust on i686, right?
[20:10:33] <abaumann> no.
[20:10:43] <abaumann> Maybe it can be done with a inotifywait?
[20:11:08] <abaumann> listen to the offending file to pop up (from wherevever), then patch it.
[20:11:26] <deep42thought> can you paste the precise error in the bug tracker
[20:11:31] <abaumann> the find might always be a little bit too slow to get to sed the file before the build process fails
[20:11:37] <deep42thought> maybe then I'm motivated to take a look at it this evening :-)
[20:12:06] <deep42thought> I think, I used a `while true; do sed -i '...' 'the-specific-file'; done
[20:12:12] <deep42thought> `in the end
[20:12:14] <abaumann> yep
[20:13:01] <abaumann> ok. done.
[20:13:11] <deep42thought> thanks
[20:13:14] <abaumann> it's the same error. breaking changes in typenum.
[20:15:14] <buildmaster> i686/chromium is broken (says eurobuild6-4): https://archlinux32.org
[20:15:25] <abaumann> yep.that's my failed sse patching
[20:31:28] <trotz> 2019/09/29 20:31 WARN buildmaster Current Load WARNING - load average: 11.51, 8.83, 5.28
[20:32:19] <deep42thought> rust-bin is in build-support?
[20:37:27] <deep42thought> no, it's not :-(
[20:46:28] <trotz> 2019/09/29 20:46 OK buildmaster Current Load OK - load average: 5.53, 8.81, 7.99
[21:11:25] <abaumann> nope.
[21:11:33] <abaumann> it's in my bootstrap
[21:12:09] <abaumann> https://aur.archlinux.org
[21:12:09] <phrik> Title: AUR (en) - rust-bin (at aur.archlinux.org)

[21:12:28] <phrik> Title: Index of /bootstrap/i686/staging (at archlinux32.andreasbaumann.cc)
[21:13:30] <abaumann> yeah. chromium is full of micro-optimizations. The sad story is, there was the NACL native build once, which switched most Intel-specific stuff off.
[21:13:36] <abaumann> it seems to be broken
[21:13:55] <abaumann> error: always_inline function
[21:14:01] <abaumann> -Werror *sigh*
