[01:54:40] <phrik> buildmaster: <buildmaster> I might be insane, but never confused ... ;-)
[05:10:49] <jirido32bit> Thank you Girls.. I have solved it.. I kind of kicked/charmed/bullied my way in to #archlinux for support ;) But in the end it was trying out all the UUIDs from the top that gave me the right one.. I was fooled by just that that I could see the parts inside the encrypted lvm.. I thougt ones opened by grub.img I should be in but.. It came to be known that the kernel also needed the password even
[05:10:55] <jirido32bit> thou it is on the encrypted system :) Now i trying to figgure out how to feed the password/key-location directly from the kernel line. Im jirido by the way and I got this acer asspire one from 2008 with an atom 270n cpu. Soo yeaah I'll be comming peeping by at times, I guess they will kick me out of #archlinux at times(charm/coaxing only get you so far with the sticklers :)
[07:01:56] * buildmaster resumes sanity.

[09:44:05] <girls> jirido32bit: good to hear, you sorted it out. Needing to provide the passphrase twice sounds strange, but could be reasonable if the bootloader decrypts the luks container and the kernel does the same (for the rootfs) again ...
[09:44:38] <girls> my approach for multiple to-be-decrypted partitions is to have each individually encrypted and the key for the non-root partition in a file on the root partition
[09:44:59] <girls> so you only need the key for the root partition which then can decrypt all other partitions with said key
[09:45:23] <girls> as I said: I never used lvm
