[19:51:41] <crns> what do the backslashes here mean?
[19:51:42] <crns> https://bbs.archlinux32.org
[19:51:42] <crns> what exactly am i supposed to do?
[19:51:43] <phrik> Title: conflicting files between xorgproto and libxp / Announcements / Archlinux32 Forum (at bbs.archlinux32.org)
[19:54:52] <girls> crns: put everything on one line and skip the backslahes, then
[19:56:24] <girls> but you can also paste it verbatim
[19:59:41] <crns> cheers

[21:18:20] <crns> pacman -Syu keeps telling me that andreas's signature "is unknown trust". do i need to add him to trusted pgp sigs or what's the next step here?
[21:18:36] <girls> hmm
[21:18:46] <girls> what version is your archlinux32-keyring?
[21:18:56] <girls> try updating that first (if it's old)
[21:19:06] <girls> or `pacman-key --refresh-keys`
[21:19:49] <crns> i did that already
[21:20:06] <crns> i can try again, just in case something went wrong, but it'll take a while
[21:21:57] <girls> what does `gpg --homedir /etc/pacman.d/gnupg --list-sigs 16194A82231E9EF823562181C8E8F5A0AF9BA7E7` yield?
[21:25:05] <crns> WARNING: unsafe ownership on homedir /etc/pacman.d/gnupg
[21:25:06] <crns> and something about his sig being expired
[21:25:19] <crns> the others are fine
[21:25:31] <girls> ok, then that key needs refreshment only
[21:30:10] <girls> curl -Ss 'https://archlinux32.org/buildmaster/gpg-keys.php?fp=16194A82231E9EF823562181C8E8F5A0AF9BA7E7' | gpg --homedir /etc/pacman.d/gnupg --import
[21:30:33] <girls> the gpg might need to be run as root (the rest not)
[21:41:20] <crns> i just (before you sent that line) refreshed it using `archlinux-key --refresh-keys 16194A82231E9EF823562181C8E8F5A0AF9BA7E7`
[21:41:20] <crns> the upgrade succeeded
[21:41:20] <crns> should i do anything else now? just asking as a precaution, really
[21:41:52] <girls> if it actually updated the key, it should be fine
[21:42:14] <crns> it did, to my knowledge anyway. that could mean anything
[21:42:40] <girls> does it still show as expired?
[21:42:56] <crns> no
[21:43:06] <crns> [ full ]
[21:43:08] <girls> then you're good :-)
[21:46:33] <crns> any idea why i need to `loadkeys de-latin1` after every reboot? last time i searched for hours i didn't find anything that helped
[21:47:39] <girls> what hooks do you have in /etc/mkinitcpi.conf?
[21:48:11] <girls> also: we had issues araound the compression of the keymap in the past
[21:48:21] <girls> (not sure if that still applies)
[21:48:45] <crns> HOOKS=(base udev autodetect modconf block filesystems keyboard fsck)
[21:48:45] <crns> those?
[21:50:49] <girls> yes
[21:51:13] <girls> can you add a "keymap" to the end of the list?
[21:51:47] <crns> sure. then what? restart and see if something changed?
[21:51:53] <girls> yes
[21:54:56] <crns> nothing changed
[21:55:02] <girls> hmm
[21:55:35] <girls> unpacking the keymap worked as a workaround
[21:57:47] <girls> sry, I cannot find the correct thread
[21:58:00] <crns> i'm searching as well
[22:01:00] <crns> no luck. i'm not entirely sure what i'm looking for anyway
[22:01:29] <girls> there was some error unpacking the keymap (gz) to load it during the boot process
[22:12:39] <crns> `sudo mkinitcpio -p linux` did the trick
[22:12:50] <girls> *head* -> *table*
[22:12:55] <girls> of course, that is also needed
[22:12:58] -!- AndrevS has quit [Quit: Leaving]
[22:12:58] <crns> lol
[22:14:58] <crns> the guide said it usually isn't needed, so i skipped it for the initial/basic setup
[22:15:23] <girls> do you have the keymap entry still in the config?
[22:15:30] <crns> yeah
[22:16:12] <girls> that plus the rebuild of the initramdisk did it, I would say
[22:17:03] <crns> well that's good then
[22:17:03] <crns> back to trying to get a wm & co. running i guess
[22:51:10] -!- thePiGrepper has joined #archlinux32
[23:29:42] <girls> abaumann: I found the problem with cantarell-fonts: it was marked as xz in the database (I updated /etc/makepkg.conf too late), so pkg.tar.xz was expected to being built and pkg.tar.zst was (rightfully) deleted
[23:30:01] <girls> I added a warning, whenever that happens, so this should be more easily trackable in the future
